1,004 Rooms Inside 377.127 Metres: How Tall Is the World’s Tallest Hotel?
Ciel Dubai Marina in the United Arab Emirates has been certified as the world’s tallest hotel at 377.127 metres, with 82 floors and 1,004 rooms and suites. Guinness verified the height on 9 December 2025 and featured the record again on 20 August 2026.
This is a record for a building used primarily as a hotel. It is not the record for the world’s tallest building, highest hotel room or highest observation deck.
How large is it in numbers?
The certified height of 377.127 metres is close to three and a half football pitches stood end to end. Guinness, developer The First Group and IHG all confirm the same central figures: 82 floors and 1,004 rooms and suites.
What exactly is ranked number one?
The Guinness category is “tallest hotel” and uses the architectural height of the hotel building. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa is much taller, but it is not a hotel-only building. The claim therefore does not cover every skyscraper.
Why do both 377 m and 377.127 m appear?
Hotel pages often round the figure to about 377 metres. The Guinness record gives the measured height as 377.127 metres. Older development documents used a planned figure of 365 metres, which is not the final certified measurement.
Can guests book it now?
IHG lists Ciel Dubai Marina as a Vignette Collection property with rooms available to search and book. The hotel advertises floor-to-ceiling windows, pools, restaurants and a spa. Prices and facility availability can change by booking date.
What does the record mean?
It does not mean the hotel has the most rooms or the best service. It measures the architectural scale of operating 1,004 rooms and hotel facilities inside a supertall structure. A future hotel could take the title after completion and verification.
