The title is the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.

The previous mark was 2,000. The new gathering exceeded it more than elevenfold, but not everyone at the concert was automatically included.

Why did everyone look the same?

A fan tradition grew around wearing white shirts, black ties and suits, sunglasses and bald caps to Pitbull concerts. Participants call themselves the “Bald-E’s.”

A group costume that spread online became a formal attempt organized with the festival and Guinness, turning a running joke into a measurable record.

ONEPRESS explanatory image: it reconstructs the atmosphere and counting method of the bald-cap record and is not a photograph of the concert.

The bald cap came with strict rules

Every cap had to be firmly secured. Hair had to be tucked underneath at the front and top, although it could hang out at the back.

Participants then had to remain in the designated area wearing the cap for a full minute. Only people meeting the conditions between the start and stop signals counted.

Why wear one in summer heat?

The attempt took place at an outdoor summer show. Guinness noted that fans kept their caps on despite the hot conditions.

The point was not practicality but sharing the same joke. An individual concert costume became coordinated participation by more than 22,000 people.

What the record does not mean

The 22,141 figure is the certified count of people who met the attempt rules. It is not the total concert attendance or the number of Pitbull fans worldwide.

The record did not judge music or appearance. It measured only how many people maintained the same costume at the same time.

Official primary sources

Primary source: Guinness World Records official record

Primary source: BST Hyde Park official record page and rules

Primary source: Guinness World Records official event account

At London’s Hyde Park, 22,141 people wore bald caps to set a world record.
